Enrolment for Mainstream (LCES)

Lucan East ETNS is part of the Lucan Common Enrolment System (LCES) along with Adamstown Castle, Esker and Griffeen Valley Educate Together Schools. When a parent/guardian makes an application to one of the schools they are applying for a mainstream class to a centralised system which includes all four schools. Children are assigned to one of the four schools based on specific criteria.

The primary aims of the system:
– promote inclusive local schools
– improve traffic management and mobility in Lucan
– encourage strong, integrated local communities
– allow children access their most conveniently located Educate Together school on a fair, transparent and equal basis

How do I put my child’s name down for the Lucan Common Enrolment system?

Applications for Junior Infants September 2027 will open on the 1st October 2026 until the 17th November 2026. After this date, applications to junior infants September 2027 will be considered as LATE APPLICATIONS. Please note that this application is for mainstream class only. We are NOT taking any other applications for September 2027 at this time.

Applications are also open for all our current classes. However, places will only be offered out if spaces are available in that class at that time. If you are allocated a place in a LCES school, you will receive an offer from that school by email.
