It’s Maths Week this week and China class have been quite busy.
Tuesday: We put our Action Maths books aside today and decided to put our Maths knowledge into action. We used pipe cleaners and lollipop sticks around the school in order to find horizontal, vertical and parallel lines.
We also found quite a number of right-angles as you can see from the photographs below.
Wednesday: A group of maths students were kind enough to visit us from Maynooth University today. They organised a Maths treasure hunt in the hall for us. We also had a maths quiz in the classroom based on the television programme ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire?’ We worked in our groups to find the answers.
Every group reached €1,000,000 – unfortunately the students had not brought the money. However, we had great fun and would like to thank them for coming in.
