Health and Wellbeing Week
There was great excitement in Lucan East ETNS this week as we had our annual Health and Wellbeing Week in Lucan East ETNS. Our classes had online safety workshops which were given by staff in the National Parents’ Council and Zumba classes taught by Julia, one of the parents from our school. Today our Parent Teacher Association organised fruit and vegetable tasting for every class. The platters were gorgeous and the children loved trying new and familiar flavours.
A huge thank you to:
- Sinead (our HSCL teacher) for organising all of the activities for our students this week
- The PTA for preparing and delivering the fruit and vegetable platters to the classes
- Julia for running fantastic Zumba classes for our students which they thoroughly enjoyed
- The NPC for delivering the Cyber Safety workshops to our students.
The week was a huge success and greatly enjoyed by all staff and students!
Student Council
Over the last week many of our students have been preparing speeches for our Student Council Elections. Some of these students delivered their speeches to the whole school at assembly today and we were blown away by the standard of their pieces and their oration. The elections will be held before the end of the school day today, votes will be counted and hopefully we will have our new students’ council up and running next week. Míle buíochas do Karen, the teacher who runs our Student Council and has put a lot of work into this week’s proceedings.
