Lucan East HSCL News
What is HSCL?
Home School Community Liaison teachers work to establish partnerships between parents and schools.
In Lucan East we recognise and value parents as the primary educators of their children. We encourage parental involevment in the school through fun activities in the classroom and through our Parents Association.

Lucan East Parents Association Needs You!
You are a member of the Lucan East Parents Association because your child attends the school. The Parents Association AGM (Annual General Meeting) will take place on Wednesday 16th October at 9:00-11:00 in the school hall. We ask all parents to attend.
During the meeting the Parents Association Committee will report on their work and new committee members will be selected. A new chairperson, secretary and treasurer will also be selected.
Marianne McGill from the National Parents Council (NPC) will be here to tell us all about the important role the Parents Association plays in the life of the school.
We are lucky to have a parents association who have contributed so much to our school. Through their time, energy and ideas they have made it possible for us to buy PE and technology equipment which benefits all the children. They also make it possible for our school to celebrate events like Grandparents Day, Multicultural Day, the book fair and the 6th class graduation.
Tea & coffee and light refreshments will be provided.
In-class Parent Activities
Each year parents are invited into their child’s class to take part in a fun activity. An email will be sent to you advising you of the date.
