Hi everyone,
Thank you for taking some time to read our school website. I would like to say hello to everybody and for anybody who I haven’t met before my name is Linda and I will be covering for Gráinne while she is away.
Thank you so much to everyone for making me feel so welcome during my first week back. I really appreciate all the support and good wishes.
There continues to be great work taking place around our school…
Peru class had a blast making Stone Age clay pots during their interactive history lessons
Ghana class were learning all about safety when we are out on our scooters and remembered to wear their helmets
Sweden class participated in pair work during their gymnastics lesson
You can see pictures of all of this and more on our twitter page www.twitter.com/lucaneastet.
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who very generously donated gifts and food to our Helping the Homeless appeal. The students were delighted to see such a great response and they have gathered up a lot of supplies for a very worthy cause.
Some of our parents and teachers were also busy in the school garden this week, even working through the wind and rain! The garden is a fantastic resource for all the children in the school and your help with it’s upkeep is hugely appreciated.
The Parent-Teacher Association are holding their raffle before the holidays. If anyone has any tickets at home please bring them in early next week to ensure they are included in the raffle.
On a final note I would like to take this opportunity to give out a little safety reminder. When cycling or riding our scooters can we please ensure that all children are wearing their helmets and a high-visibility jacket.
Thank you to everyone for reading and I hope you all have a lovely weekend. See you all again on Monday morning.
Linda
