STEM in Poland class

Every Tuesday afternoon Poland class have been challenged with stem boxes. STEM boxes require team work and co-operation and so far this has worked very well. The first challenge was to move 6 glasses from one position to another. This sounds so easy but not when presented with the additional instruction. You were not allowed to use your hands. The class figured out how an elastic band, paper clips and some string could help us and all the groups were successful.

The next challenge was to build the biggest tower using straws and only 10cm of tape. We had lots of different designs but some off them weren’t very strong and wobbled over. We are really enjoying STEM and look forward to working on the next challenge which is chance.
