Today is always a special day in the calendar of Lucan East ETNS. Book day started with all the staff entering the yard dressed as their favourite book character. The children had amazing costumes and Jenny chose some children to go to a mad hatters tea party and older children who went to a cool chill out reading room.
Reading is a really important aspect of our lives and we want all the children who come to school at Lucan East to know that reading can be one of the most enjoyable things you can do in your life. We had a lovely assembly this morning where 3rd class Greece entertained us with their Irish Poem. Every week a different class will showcase their Irish skills at assembly for the rest of the year. We will also have two 5th class students welcoming all our parents for the rest of the year in Irish. This is is part of our goal to make Irish a living language in our school.
Any unclaimed clothes will be sent to the charity shop over the mid term.
If you have any enrolment letters please make sure they get back to the office.
I would like to thank the PTA for all their work preparing the disco today. The money raised will go towards the One Together national ET day and our school library.
School finishes up today for the mid term break. We return to school on Monday 2nd November. I would like to wish you all a peaceful and safe break,
le meas,
Eddie
