Lucan Concert Band
Junior Band Program
Lucan Concert Band has recently established a Junior Concert Band to provide an opportunity for local school children to play music in an ensemble group. As a community based band there is in particular a keen focus for forming successful partnerships with our local primary schools to assist in the promotion of music education among the pupils and become an integral part of a school’s music program.
Lucan Concert Band has been in existence for over 30 years and was originally established with a group of children from a local primary school, in fact from a 4th Class recorder class! Over these years Lucan Concert Band has been very successful, providing entertainment at many local or district events, charity fund raisers, and several years winners in National Band competitions.
Lucan Concert Band wish to maintain this success by introducing many more new band players through a junior band program. The band are offering to work with each School and Parents Association to explore how we may assist in promoting music tuition to school groups, provide a showcase, access to wind instruments and other benefits that music ensemble playing provide to children. In the meantime if you need more information contact LucanConcert Band at lucanconcertband@gmail.com
