A chaired,
Hi everyone. I hope you are all keeping well. The weeks are certainly flying past and we are almost into our last month of the school year. This is a particularly exciting month for our 6th class students as they prepare for the big transfer to secondary school. They have been busy beavers recently attending school transfer programmes, the RDS where the showcased their Junior Entrepreneur products and trips to Corkagh Park and Santry Stadium for athletics.
It is also school tour season which is a much anticipated time and the students are going to some fantastic locations this year including Croke Park, Lullymore, Tayto Park and the Viking Splash tour in the city. We hope students and teachers all have a great time and a well-deserved day out after all of their hard work during the year.
Yesterday evening, Thursday the 23rdof May, we welcomed our new Junior Infant students into the school! It is always a time of such great excitement and this year was no exception. We would like to take this opportunity to say how delighted we are to have them and their families join our school community and we very much look forward to seeing you all again in September.
There is a schedule of works meeting taking place during the second week of June. This will be attended by myself and the chairperson of the board of management. Hopefully we will have some further updates on the building works and the timeframe to share with you after this.
We received a very special visit from a member of the Gardaí last week! She also brought her working dog. The children were so excited, they got to wear her special cap, control the walkie-talkie and even sit into the Garda van. It was educational and so much fun! Thank you very much to the Gardaí.
Is mise le meas,
Linda
