Happy Friday everybody. There are a few things happening over the next few weeks that I wanted to bring to your attention to
- The pupil online database forms have been sent out. It is very important that we get all of these forms back before the closing date. If anybody is having any difficulty with the forms just come to us and we will help you.
- Many thanks to all who wore odd shoes to highlight mental health awareness. We will be making a donation to St. Patrick’s Mental health services from all the twenty cents
- We will be sending out our annual brown envelopes/standing order forms in the coming weeks. This money is the real lifeblood of the school. As you know schools have been visciously punished by cutbacks in the last six years. Each child is supported by less than 1€ per day from the state and we still have to pay all our utilities, water charges etc. We really appreciate any help we recieve and spend this money very wisely.
- The book fair will arrive in the school next week. The new PTA committee are busy organising a Halloween disco which will take place on the thursday before the mid-term break.
- I think everybody will agree that the work being carried out in from of the school will dramatically change the view of the school from the road. I am working hard to have the land between the school and the ring road to to made into playing fields and leisure facilities which I feel are really lacking in our area. Don’t forget to lobby your local politicians on this.
