We are coming to the end of November rapidly and it has been another wonderful week here at Lucan East ETNS.
I would like to wish our 5th class Norway teacher David all the best at the World Amputee Soccer World Cup in Mexico. David gave an inspiring talk at assembly today and his story of achieving your goals even when people tell you they are unachieveable really resonated with the children and staff present. We are so proud of David and his achievements. I also got to meet with the student council today who are organising a sports quiz and have lots of great ideas for the land beside the school which I will feed back to our local representatives when I meet them with our two sister schools of Griffeen Valley and Kishoge CC. The student council is run by Karen and is the official student voice within the school. I look forward to working with them throughout the year.
Our PTA are busy at work revamping their pages on this site and organising a movie night for the children as well as a christmas raffle. There will be regular updates from the PTA on our website.
I would like to thank all the families who are taking part in the super trooper initiative which is a family get fit awareness project. The children have really enjoyed taking part and each month our award winners will get a chance to work with Alan F. in an extra PE slot.
I would like to thank you all for your continued support,
le Meas,
Eddie (Príomhoide)
