It has been another busy week at Lucan East. Among the many things we celebrated was intercultural week. Check out the video we made on this website and on twitter. many thanks to Fintan our PTA chairperson for all the work he put into editing and filming the video. I would also like to thank Karen for all her hard work in organising the intercultural week. The list of activities are are too vast to mention here but the success of the week was in raising awareness and empathy about the differences and similarities in our community.
We had the pleasure of welcoming the two new Junior Infant classes to our school this week. Our two new classes will be called Finland and Fiji class. They will join us properly on August 31st next and we are really excited to work with them at the beginning of their educational journey here in the school.
We have just received out “Teastas Gaelbhratach” (Irish language flag 1st year certificate). Many thanks to the committee and the teachers who helped out all year. Aoileann, Aoife O., Niall and Aoife have worked tirelessly to improve the profile of Irish in the school and to ensure that we are all enjoying and speaking more Irish with some spectacular results. Next year we will work on achieving our full flag status. Maith sibh ! (well done)
Your child’s report will again be visible online after June 21st through the secure aladdin portal. You will also be able to see previous reports as well as your child’s attendance through this portal.
