It is hard to believe that we have come to the end of Term 2. It has been a great term with success across a number of areas from the academic and sporting to the pastoral. A big THANK YOU to everyone for contributing to and helping with ‘Bring a Book, Buy a Book’. It was a huge success.
The school re-opens at 8.40am on Monday 9th of April. Active school’s week will be happening in April which is something to look forward to and our PE committee have lots of exciting things planned for it.
We would be really grateful if you could let the office know if you think you will be leaving at the end of the year. Lucan East is involved in a common enrolment system with three of the other Educate Together schools in the area. They are:
- Griffeen Valley ETNS
- Esker ETNS
- Adamstown Castle ETNS
Currently the four schools are organising their numbers for next year so it would be great to know if we will have spaces in the classes in the school.
Next term we will also be collecting our book money and all classes will be going on their tours. Many thanks to lots of parents who have already volunteered to come on tours. They are always such a positive experience and well worth going on at some stage while your child is at primary school.
Please don’t forget to follow us on twitter @lucaneastet for all the latest school news.
I hope you all have a great holiday and would like to thank everybody for their continued support.
Míle buíochas (Many thanks),
Gráinne
