It was wonderful to meet so many parents coming in and out of the school for the Parent Teacher Meetings this week. We are so lucky to have such an interested and involved parent body. A big thank you to you all from both myself and the teachers.
There has been lots of interesting work going on in Lucan East ETNS this week:
- 3rd Class did a WebQuest to find out all about the life of Anne Frank
- 6th class created and edited videos to present their amazing projects during Project Hour
- All classes from 3rd – 6th participated in Discover Science Marine Workshops in the school today. They had a fantastic time looking at different elements of marine life, some they viewed through microscopes.
- Ghana and Ireland Class earned enough marbles for a trip to McDonalds and they had a great day.
You can see pictures of all of this and more on our twitter page www.twitter.com/lucaneastet.
The Parent-Teacher Association are looking for donations for our Winter Raffle. If you have anything no matter how big or small please drop it into Lesley in the office.
The first round of offers under the Lucan Common Enrolment System LCES) will be going out early December. If you have a child who will start school in September 2019, please make sure to submit an application before the 30th November.
Finally, we do not have any update regarding the building at present despite numerous phone calls. We will update you as soon as we have any additional information.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend with your families and will see you again bright and early on Monday morning.
Míle buíochas,
Gráinne
