Hi everyone.
We were so busy last week preparing for all our Winter concerts that I did not get to write any principal’s news so I have lots of things to say this week!
The first thing to mention is the Winter concerts that happened over the last couple of days. Wow! The level of talent and hard work evident in each show was just amazing. The performances were of an amazing standard and everyone looked like they were having such a good time. It was great to see so many parents and relatives coming in to share the concerts with us.
A quick note to mention that the winter concerts are currently in the process of being uploaded onto Twitter. When you click to watch you will be required to enter a password which you can obtain from Lesley.
The PTA Winter raffle took place. Thank you so much to everyone for supporting the raffle and congratulations to all the prize winners.
Lucan East took part in the Leinster Primary Chess League and also ran their yearly chess competition in the school. 107 competitors took part and after plenty of excitement and intense competitive games we would like to congratulate our winners; In 1st place Eric (6th class), 2nd place Luke (4th class), 3rd place Harry (3rd class) and 4th place Javier (6th class). Well done to everyone who participated.
Our new school newspaper team have also finished publishing the first edition of the new ‘Lucan East Newspaper’. It is available to read on our school website. It covers a wide range of topics from movie reviews to delicious recipes. Make sure to check it out and we look forward to more brilliant journalism from the students in the coming months.
Happy holidays to you all and we look forward to seeing you for lots of fun and hard work in January.
Kind wishes
Linda
