It has been a great first term of the year at our school. Here are some of the highlights:
- We opened our outreach class to be known as Ireland class
- We had a big focus on reading with our book clubs and lift off to literacy
- Our new PTA committee was set up and carried on the high standards of the previous committee
- We had a great halloween disco organised by the PTA
- We will have school lunches in the school after the mid term break
- Our new student council was elected after a great campaign and election
- We are well on the way to getting our green flag for energy
- Book day celebrated our love of reading and books in the school and all the staff amazed us with their costumes.
- We are developing sports in the school and hope to start a school football team in the coming months to add to our handball and chess teams.
- Our extra curricular activities are going from strength
These are just a few of the great things that are happening in our school. I would like to wish you all a great break and to remind you that parent teacher meetings will take place for senior infants upwards after school on the 20th and 21st of November so keep those dates free.
Míle buíochas (many thanks),
Eddie (Príomhoide)
