PTA update Feb 27th.
Firstly, thank you to all the children who participated in Mad Head Day to raise funds for One Day Together. And of course thanks to their talented and patient parents. There were some amazing creations on display. Over 186 euro was raised through the coin collection. This will go to the Educate Together Organization. Well done everyone.

Next Thursday March 6th is World Book Day.
http://www.worldbookday.com/
The main aim of World Book Day is to encourage children to explore the pleasure of books and reading by providing them with an opportunity to have a book of their own.
The PTA are organizing a Used Book Sale along the lines of the Bring a Book, Buy a Book scheme. We are asking all staff, students and their parents to contribute their second hand books and then purchase books donated by their colleagues, fellow students, friends or family at a cost of €0.50c per book. This encourages reading for all and all funds raised will go directly to the school.
Boxes are available in classrooms and at school main entrance. Ideally books should be dropped in no later than Wednesday a.m.
We will be looking for some help on Wednesday to sort books into age groups and interests, and on Thursday to give some time to selling the books. Anyone interested in helping out contact please contact Nicola on 0867976460, or Linda.
