This has been a very exciting term in First Class Norway. We had a visit from the Dog’s Trust. Deirdre and Cunann the pup came to our class and Deirdre taught us how to take care of a pet dog. The children wrote a report on their visit which they brought home for all to read. We have also been reading The Lighthouse Keeper’s Stories, the children wrote their own adventure story with Mr Grinling the lighthouse keeper as the main character. The stories the children wrote were excellent and they will be bringing these home too, so have a read!
The girls went to Lucan Sarsfields GAA to take part in a camogie blitz. They all said they had a great time. If the children which to participate further in any Gaelic games they can contact Lucan Sarsfields and join their club or summer camp.
Next week the Irish Film Institute are coming to our class to do an animation workshop with the class, on Friday the 10th we will be going into the IFI to view a film and the children will become film critics for the day.
