We were very lucky this week to have a visit from the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, a very important charity set up to promote water safety. The RNLI has saved more than 139,000 lives since it was set up in 1824, and they continue to work hard keeping people safe around the shores of the UK and Republic of Ireland. They currently have 330 active lifeboats and 4 relief hovercrafts. Here is a link to their website if you would like to find out a little more information.
