The school’s Board of management met on Wednesday 21st of September. This is the second last meeting of the board before the new board of management takes over in September. The board had met during the summer holidays to ratify the appointment of all our new teachers.
The board also discussed the importance of initiatives like maths for fun and reading where parents come into the school. All members of the board are delighted that parents are involved in their children’s education. The board would like to stress that confidentiality and respect for cultural difference are very important when working with children in the classroom in our school.
A message of congratulations was sent to Holly Smith who is the community representative on the board who got married during the summer. The board will also be adding their own piece to our time capsule. We discussed who we would like to come to our sculpture unveiling and one suggestion was members of the Dublin team.
The board also looked at our ethos as an Educate Together school and agreed to work on this over the coming year.
