It has been another very busy week in the life of Lucan East ETNS. We celebrated all the children who have not missed a day and have full attendance in assembly. As one of the children put it “If you are not here then you don’t learn and you miss all the stuff”. Good attendance is vital for success at school and I am very proud of all the children who made a big effort to be in school every day this term. We will have one more attendance award ceremony at the end of the next term.
The book fair is in full swing thanks to our wonderful parent teacher association. Half the money spent can be used to buy additional books for the school. Tomorrow there will be a spring clean of the school. The school will be open from 10am to 3pm. Every hour spent volunteering gives you one time credit which you can use to pay off one hours worth of extra curricular activities. It will be great to give the school a good clean to make it ready for the summer term.
On April 27th we will be launching our Art projects in the presence of the mayor and Minister for children Frances Fitzgerald. Keep the date free as we would like as many parents as possible to attend.
School will break up for the easter holidays next friday at 12pm. Infants will be let out at 11.40am so the traffic can run more smoothly.
Bíodh deireadh seachtaine deas agaibh
Have a nice weekend,
Eddie
