Egypt class have been busy this week investigating soil samples. Each person in our class brought in a sample of soil from their back garden or local area. We then tested them, paying particular attention to colour, what it’s made up of, how it feels and what the soil drainage is like. Our results were surprising. We noticed that soil in the countryside is generally darker, more moist and feels softer than soil in the city. We also found that water drains through soil from the countryside a lot quicker than soil in the city. It was a really interesting experiment. Have a look at our photos.
