On Monday the 22nd of April, two students from Lucan East ETNS represented our school in a recycled mask parade held in the South Dublin County Council Chambers to launch Eco Week. Children from senior infants and first class who had taken part in a mask making competition were selected to attend the event. Javier Borza was chosen as the Lucan East senior infant winner while Jordan Kindanda won the 1st class section of the competition. Both boys made wonderful masks using a selection of recycled materials. They modeled these masks for parents and members of the county council in the parade on Monday and were then presented with certificates and a prize bag. Everyone had a great day out! A special thanks is given to Margaret Callan Bergin and her colleagues from Garbo Productions for holding the Co Co Nuts Anti Litter Drama workshop in our school and organising Monday’s events. Have a look at some of the pictures from the day!
