February 22nd was “Mother Language Day”. We all celebrated the many languages people in our school speak and learned lots of new ways to say “hello” to our friends. Some moms and dads came into school to teach us rhymes in their mother language and we sang songs in Irish, English and even French for them. We all made beautiful flags to represent all of the countries people in our class are linked to, every flag had an Irish flag on the back.
Some of the boys and girls in Romania class made their own board game today. We decorated all the numbers from one to twenty and stuck them on this huge snake. We are going to add some smaller snakes and some ladders aswell. We can’t wait to start playing our new game.
