This is a scheme whereby volunteers can trade in the time they spend for credits which can be used in the school or community. These schemes have been set up elsewhere over the years and a group of people involved in the local schools are discussing the idea of starting up here.
Parents and helpers already volunteer to help out with school-related activities and events or even in community services. The idea of the scheme would be to use this time spent in exchange for a type of time or service currency. For example, credits might be exchanged for a family swim in the local pool or for community help or advice.
An initial workshop meeting will be held in the school on the evening of Wednesday 26th October at 7.30pm.
