Grandparent’s Day

It’s a ‘Feel Good Friday’ here in Lucan East ETNS today!  We had a beautiful celebration of our Grandparent’s today and were lucky to have many Grandparents attend this special day.  The Grandparents attended our weekly assembly where the children sang songs for them and the grandparents told stories and shared their words of wisdom. Afterwards, the Grandparents visited their grandchildren’s classes where they did activities and shared stories with the students.  Finally, the grandparents were invited to the library for tea, coffee and cakes organised by the PTA.

It was such a memorable and beautiful occasion that lifted the spirits of our whole school community.  Many many thanks to Sinéad, our Home-School Teacher who organised the day, to the teachers for organising fun activities, to the PTA for their fantastic catering, to the children for their beautiful singing and, last but not least, to the wonderful Grandparents who are such an important part of our school community.  It was a fabulous day enjoyed by all.

I would also like to congratulate our sports stars from Santry and the Camogie team on their sporting achievements over the last 2 weeks.  We’ve such talented students who are all working on developing their own unique interests and talents and its great to see their hard work come to fruition!

Wishing you all a safe and happy weekend,

Gráinne
