Today was the last day of Maths 4 Fun in Japan. Instead of playing maths games in the class, the children put on their Maths eyes and solved the questions on the Lucan East Maths trail. They had great fun and worked really well together in their teams. All the children and the parents were presented with a certificate congratulating them for having so much fun with maths, and they promised to teach another person one of the new games they learned and to play them at home. There are so many games that can be played using cards and dice.
Maths is a great way of getting together to play games, and having lots of fun. Why not make a maths trail in your own house over the weekend, the children loved it. A massive thank you to our fantastic parents who taught the children for 6 weeks and took them on the trail today – Denise, Marie, Maebh, Katerina, Galina and Vijay go raibh míle maith agaibh!!!!
