I must begin by telling everyone some very exciting news. Our Camogie team won the semi-final yesterday and are through to the final in Croke Park. The match is on next Tuesday 5th June at 1.30 pm in Croke Park. We would encourage as many families as possible to come along and support our students on this exciting day. Admission: Child €3; Adult €5. There is parking available for supporters’ cars at the Rear Davin Stand car-park, via St. Margaret’s Avenue (off North Circular Road). Looking forward to seeing some of our Lucan East community there. The more the merrier.
In other news the children had a great time participating in the skipping workshops this week. Many thanks to the parents and Board of Management for their contributions to make this possible.
We also had our ‘Read what you wear’ Day today and we had lots of fun reading the slogans on each other’s tshirts.
6th class, Senior Infants and Ireland and Ghana Classes all had a fantastic time on their school tours this week. 6th went to W5 and the Titanic Museum in Belfast, Senior Infants were in Lullymore Farm and Ireland and Ghana Classes were in Tayto Park. Their was great fun had by all.
Both of our 4th classes planted sunflower seeds in the school garden with some parents this week and 3rd class were busy doing tables games and Maths trails.
Finally Esker ETNS visited the school for the second leg of the chess competition.
It’s great to see all of the wonderful opportunities our pupils get in the school which helps them figure out what their own unique interests and talents are!
Check out our twitter page @lucaneastet for pictures of all of the events outlined above.
Wishing you all a fantastic long weekend!
