Our Autumn Disco was a huge hit with all of the children from Junior Infants to 4th Class this week. The discos raised a massive €768 for the school. This money, along with the €2689 the PTA fundraised in the 2017/18 school year, has been used to buy new PE equipment for the school. We bought 2 indoor basketball nets portable systems, new padding for the outdoor basketball net poles and new basketballs for the yard; an Active Vault, springboard and 20 mats for gymnastics; and 30 new multi-coloured bibs for all sports. We would like to thank the PTA and the whole school community for their continuing support and generosity in improving the resources we have to teach our students. It is greatly appreciated by the Board of Management, all of the staff and all of the pupils.
It was great to see so many students in at the book fair over the past couple of days. It will be open again on Monday to give people a chance to buy any books they want. A large percentage of the money raised from the Book Fair goes towards buying books for our school and class libraries.
Finally, our annual Book Day is next Friday 26th October. Children are welcome to dress up on this day and we are always impressed by their fantastic costumes.

We look forward to another great week in school next week before the October mid-term (29th October – 2nd November).
Wishing you all a lovely weekend.
