It’s a blustery day out there today as we feel some of the effects of Storm Lorenzo. There is currently as Status Yellow weather warning in place for Dublin. As it stands, the school will be open tomorrow. If there is any change to this we will put a post here on the school website and we will send you all a text.
Lego Collection
MÍLE BUÍOCHAS to all of the children and adults who contributed some of their lego to our school lego collection. We are blown away by the amount of fantastic lego that has been contributed. This will be put to great use in the classes. We really appreciate your help with this.
School Library
There is a lot of work going on to organise our school library at present. If you are interested in helping out with this please email sinead@lucaneastet.ie .
Health and Well-being Week
Next week we will be holding our annual Health and Well-being Week. Sinead, our HSCL teacher, has organised lots of great activities for the children including Yoga, Fruit Tasting, Zumba, the Sponsored Walk and a Poster Competition. The teachers will also be doing some lovely activities in their classes with the students to promote Health and Well-being. We cannot wait to get started.
Sponsored Walk
The cards have gone home this week for our Annual Sponsored Walk. This is a lovely activity and fundraiser for the school and we look forward to getting out into the fresh air and walk for Lucan East ETNS.
Parent Teacher Association AGM
Our PTA AGM will take place on Weds 16th October from 9 am – 11 am in the school hall. Our new committee members will be nominated and elected at the meeting and we would encourage as many parents as possible to attend and hopefully help out with the PTA this year.
We hope everyone stays safe through the storm and look forward to seeing you all in school tomorrow.
Míle buíochas,
Gráinne
