Safer Internet Day (SID) is an EU wide initiative to promote a safer internet for all users, especially young people.

It is promoted in Ireland by the PDST Technology in Education and Webwise.” (Webwise website)

This year’s theme is ‘Together For a Better Internet” and how we can all strive to make the internet safer for our children and young people.

Our students have been learning about what it means to stay safe online. Some of the ‘Safer Internet Day’ activities that the students engaged with included slideshows, posters, art and Minecraft Education edition (in association with Microsoft Dreamspace and Xbox).

If you would like more information on how your children can stay safe online Webwise has useful information including their new #TalkListenLearn campaign.
