The National Parents Council Education conference takes place this Saturday, the 16th of May in the National College of Ireland, Mayor St. Dublin 1. The college is situated in the IFSC near Connolly Station. The conference runs from 11am to 4pm and there is no attendance fee. There will be a number of guest speakers including the Minister for Education, Ruairí Quinn and Lorraine Sanda, National Parental Involvement Co-Ordinator in the Scottish Government. For other speakers and more details, check the NPC website.
Being involved in your child’s education and learning is crucially important for their progress and development and attendance at this conference would be interesting and informative. It gives you, as a parent, a platform to make your voice heard and to become more informed about issues relevant to the education of your children.
The NPC has also formed special interest groups around the issues of minority religions and migrant parents so this will be of interest to many of our parents.
All are welcome to attend. To book a place email info@npc.ie or phone 01-8874034 or 8874488.
