Last Friday three lucky gardeners went on a trip to the Phoenix Park. They went there to see a special gardening show called Bloom. Johnny, Rahaela and Daniel were the lucky ones who got to see lots of gardens, flowers, vegetables and even animals! We want to thank Vitale(Johnny’s Dad) who drove us there in his taxi.
There were gardens for resting in, gardens for birds, gardens for cats and dogs, gardens made out of recycled things, a chinese garden, a butterfly garden and vegetable gardens. M y favourite garden was the cottage garden which had dragon snap flowers, lupin and sweet pea. They were lucky there were no rabbits there! We took lots of photos.
We had our lunch and listened to an orcestra. We even got to taste some strawberries. We took lots of photos and were so lucky that the sun was shining. The children got a free packet of sunflower seeds that they can plant at home.
It was such a wonderful experience and we got lots of ideas for our school garden. I would like to thank Emmanuel (Chairperson, BOM) who gave us the tickets. Ask Rahael, Daniel or Johnny about their visit to Bloom.
