Poland class during healthy well being week

How much sugar should you eat? Poland class attended a workshop last Wednesday the 12th of September at Lucan Library and learned a lot about sugar. We should only eat 6 teaspoons a day but this can be hard as sugar is hidden in lots of foods. Deirdre from the cool food company showed us a list of  these hidden sugars.

We explored the sugar content of breakfast cereals and drinks. I think everyone was surprised at the amount contained in breakfast cereal and in drinks.

We demonstrate a sugar rush doing a sugar roller coaster dance.

At the end we tasted natural yogurt and added sugar to it to make it taste nicer. After three spoons of sugar instead of tasting nice it tasted terrible!
