Everyone’s going mad for science in Lucan East these days. Paula, our Science Coordinator, along with our Science Committee have organised a science competition for the whole school and it’s really gotten the children excited. Here’s a picture of some of our students busy experimenting with Science and you can find more on our twitter page twitter.com/lucaneast:
This week India and Italy class were lucky to take part in an environmental workshop organised by South Dublin County Council during which they collected rubbish in Griffeen Valley Park. Look at the unbelieveable amount of rubbish they collected in a short time. Well done Italy and India Class.
It was great to celebrate all of our Stars of the Week and Gaeilgeoirí na Seachtaine at assembly today. It was also brilliant to have 3 more children for our Principal’s Award who enjoyed hot chocolate and got prizes and certificates in the office. Well done to everyone 🙂
Finally, we would like to congratulate our newly elected Student Council Members. There was tough competition and the children put lots of time and effort into their speeches and thinking of their ideas for the students council.
2021/22 Student Council Members:
And to those children who didn’t get voted in this time – remember if at first you don’t succeed try and try again!
Wishing you all a lovely, safe and relaxing weekend.
Is mise le meas,
Gráinne
