Our Super Lucan East Students are back at it working hard in school this week.
Verbal Dyspraxia Awareness Day
Today everyone in Lucan East ETNS is wearing blue in recognition of Verbal Dyspraxia Awareness Day. We discussed Verbal Dyspraxia at our weekly assembly and the whole school partook in two minutes silence. This is a very important day for our school community as we work to raise awareness of Verbal Dyspraxia and we would like to thank all of our parents and students for showing support by wearing blue.
School Garden
A big THANK YOU to our PTA for all of the work they have done making improvements to our school garden. It looks absolutely amazing so far and they are not even finished yet. There are new plants, new vegetable beds and the area has been completely cleared so that it can be used safely by our students. This is such an asset to our school and will be of great benefit to our students for years to come.
I would also like to say a huge THANK YOU to some members of staff who have helped to make this all happen – Margaret, Sinéad, Seán, Inga and her husband Robert. None of this would have been possible without all of your efforts. Go raibh míle maith agaibh.
Last but not least a big THANK YOU to our 6th class students who have been busy planting trees and plants this week and making the finishing touches to the garden. Both classes are full of amazing students who aren’t afraid to get stuck in and get their hands dirty. You’re leaving your mark on Lucan East ETNS and what you have done in our garden will be here for years to come.
