Grandparents Day
We had an amazing start to the week with Grandparents Day. There was a wonderful turnout and the excitement was palpable in the classrooms early on Monday morning. It was thoroughly enjoyable to hear and see so many grandparents in classrooms throughout the school. Many of the children had prepared challenging questions and the grandparents shared some great stories followed by refreshments in the hall. Thank you for coming in and we can’t wait to have you all back soon.

GAA Blitz
Many of the boys and girls enjoyed a GAA blitz in Griffeen Park this week. There were some great skills on show and the teachers were very impressed with the sporting games and the enthusiasm shown by the children. Thanks to Paula, Tom, Niall and Kate for organising a very enjoyable and worthwhile event.
School Tours
We’ve had another exciting week in Lucan East ETNS with Portugal Class and Algeria Class going to the zoo on their school tour. Jamaica Class and India Class were also on their travels this week with a very enjoyable trip to Tayto Park. Check out our Twitter page for more great photos.

New Junior Infants
Our new Junior Infants came to the school on Tuesday afternoon to meet their teachers. It was heart-warming to see so many happy faces coming through the front door for the first time. Their teachers were delighted to meet them. We’re really looking forward to seeing them again in September.
Active Week
The students are very excited about the forthcoming Active Week that is taking place in the school from Tuesday, June 14th. Some of the activities that will be on offer include: gymnastics, basketball, soccer, tag rugby, GAA, rounders, yard games and hurling. It’s always a very enjoyable week in the school and we’re sure that the children will have great fun.
Enjoy the Break
Just a reminder that the school will be closed next week Mon 6th to Fri 10th June inclusive, as per school calendar. We hope that you all have a safe and enjoyable break.
